Tuning Fork Sound Healing

This sound healing treatment uses 12 perfectly tuned and specialised steel tuning forks on the 'shu points' (on 12 of the 14 meridians (energy lines) in the Traditional Chinese Medicine system of acupuncture) to bring about re-balancing and energising of the body's energy and flow.

This treatment is especially helpful for those who are fatigued, low in mood or who need energy and motivation. It is also very well paired with more relaxing treatments such as Reiki, foot or facial reflexology or foot massage to bring a real sense of balance.

NB: NOT SUITABLE for those suffering with ANXIETY or frequent AGITATED STATES.

During this treatment the receiver will lie on the therapy couch, clothed, except for the feet which remain bare. Each tuning fork, gently vibrating with its pure tone frequency, is applied a specific acupuncture shu point (command point) on both the right side and the left side of the body, influencing and healing the energy flow through that meridian, or energy line. There are 12 shu points that are stimulated to a greater or lesser degree during treatment and the receiver may experience light sensation at the point of sound application and, sometimes, more widely in or around the body.

The shu points are located predominantly on the lower arms and legs, wrists, ankles, finger and toes. It is a somewhat mindful experience and is renowned for helping those who are tired or fatigued, low in mood and needing a boost or those lacking motivation or drive. This treatment is not suitable for those suffering with anxiety or agitated mental states.

Tuning fork healing treatments when booked in isolation are best taken during the day time. Evening treatments are recommended to be booked as a treatment combination with either Reiki, facial reflexology, foot reflexology or foot massage. The pairing of treatments brings a deeper sense of balance and relaxation alongside the more uplifting nature of the tuning fork healing.
