Reiki Courses, Reiki Shares & Development Events

This course introduces you to the history, theory, principles and practice of Usui Reiki & Reiki healing. You will learn to connect with and begin to feel, or gain a sense of, Reiki (Universal Life Force Energy) through breathing techniques, visualisations, meditation and developing your sensitivity and Reiki healing practice.

You will receive your first (combined) attunement to Reiki which opens you up to this energy. This can be relaxing, gentle or incredibly powerful, and for many, it is quite a profound experience. You will then learn about the energies in and around the human body and how these may be influenced by mental, emotional and spiritual experiences. You will begin to explore these energies through body scanning and Reiki healing practice. Within the course, you will complete a full self-healing practice and share Reiki healing with fellow students. You will also learn a little about using Reiki with plants and animals.

At level 1, Reiki can be practised with family and friends, but please note that THIS IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION allowing you to practice as a therapist. If you wish to gain a professional qualification, you will need to complete levels 1 and 2.

A certificate and manual is provided.

COURSE PRICE: £130 (group course). This price is based on a minimum of 2 students attending. A non-refundable deposit of £50 is required for booking with the final balance due 14 days before the course start date. Courses can be run for individuals at the price of £185, on request.

Runs as: 1 whole day (9:30am to 5:30pm), or 2 half days (9:15am to 12:45pm), less frequently 3 evenings of 2½ hours (7 to 9:30pm). Courses are kept small to ensure personal attention and adequate space and time.

For those who have already completed their Level 1 (also known as the first degree) Reiki, this course takes your healing to the next level. It enables you to practise Reiki professionally if you wish to.

During the course you will receive attunements to the three, level 2 Reiki symbols. You will learn how to draw them, connect with them, understand their meaning, and how to use them within your healing practice. Level 2 Reiki deepens your understanding and connection to Reiki energy, and raises your personal level of vibration. The symbols enable you to work specifically on emotional and mental levels of healing for yourself and others, and they also enable you to send healing at a distance in both time and space, remote or distant healing. This means healing can be sent to past and future events, situations and relationships.

You will spend time in guided meditations and discussion, and you will practise using the Reiki symbols in face to face healing with your peers and in distant healing across time and space for yourself and/or others. There is plenty of practical focus within the course to ensure you feel confident with this next level of Reiki energy.

You will learn more about the subtle energy body and will deepen your sensitivity to and understanding of these energies through your practice. We will also talk about working professionally, the code of ethics and practice, and discuss any business or insurance-related queries that you may have for those wishing to pursue professional practice.

COURSE PRICE: £175. This price is based on a minimum of 2 students attending. A non-refundable deposit of £50 is required for booking with the final balance due 14 days before the course start date. Courses can be run for individuals at the price of £200, on request.

Currently runs as 1 whole day (9:30am to 5:30pm). May run as a 2 half day course or a set of 4 evenings of approx 2¼ hours on request. Courses are kept small.

Reiki Master levels include further attunements to enable you to work with a higher vibration of Reiki energy. The master symbols (traditional and modern) are introduced, and more detail is provided about healing techniques for face to face and distant healing. The teacher qualification enables participants to learn how to teach and attune others to Reiki energy. Please note that both Master courses carry a large degree of commitment and a considerable level of responsibility. Master courses are for those truly committed to "living Reiki" as well as practising Reiki or working with Reiki.

For those who have already completed their Level 1 & 2 (also known as the first and second degrees) Reiki, this course takes you on a journey to advance your level and practice of healing and raises your personal energy vibration. You will need to have a minimum of 2 to 3 years practising Reiki at Level 2 before being accepted onto this course. (NB: For those who have completed their level 2 with another teacher, this would require a pre-course meeting and sharing session to discuss how to take the learning forward together in the best way since there is considerable variation in Reiki practice and teaching.)

Students can now choose whether to follow the more Western style of Reiki or a very traditional Japanese approach. This will be discussed with you prior to booking a date.

WESTERN REIKI FOCUSED COURSE: During the Western Reiki course you will receive a Western Reiki attunement to the traditional Level 3/Master Reiki symbol. You will learn its meaning, uses and meditate with the new symbol and energy. You will learn, experiment with and practise advanced healing techniques (both Western and some traditional Reiki practices) and begin the journey of a Reiki Master Healer. And finally, you will learn how to create simple crystal grids to use for distant Reiki healing, sending healing to the Earth or community and for empowering your own life goals and personal spiritual development.

TRADITIONAL JAPANESE FOCUSED COURSE: During the more traditional Reiki Master course, you will receive a traditional Japanese style attunement to the Level 3/Master symbol and an additional Reiju (spiritual blessing) to open up to greater understanding and spiritual connection. You will delve deeper into the Buddhist and ancient Japanese shamanic roots of Reiki and how the 5 elements of Reiki are interwoven not just into your healing practice, but into every aspect of your daily life, your self reflection and ongoing evolution of being. We will practice further traditional Reiki meditations and techniques and we will explore the use of chanting for meditation and healing practice.

Please remember that completing either one of these day courses does not make you a "master" of Reiki. Indeed, I truly believe no one is a "master" of Reiki. This is the beginning of your much longer and more expansive journey of learning with Reiki and inviting it to infuse your life and the way you choose to live it and influence your evolution of being. The learning is life long as a Reiki Master/Level 3 Practitioner, and if you reach a point where you feel you have no more to learn, look again! There is always more to learn, more to know, more to improve and more to be with Reiki. And that is what hints at the title of a Reiki Master. For myself, I prefer to use Reiki Practitioner (and teacher) still.

COURSE PRICE for Master Healer Course only: £215. Runs as 1 whole day (usually 9:00am to 4:00pm). Alternative times can be discussed on request. Because fewer people go on to the Master courses, these are usually arranged on request.

This course can be taken once you have successfully completed the Reiki Master Healer/Level 3a course (see above).

As for the Reiki Master Healer course, the student can opt to learn the Western Reiki Master Teacher way or the Traditional Japanese Reiki Master way. The key differences in the courses are in the attunement practices that you learn and the difference in focus and teaching practice moving forward. This will be discussed with the student before the course date is booked. The course will always be tailored to suit the student's needs and intentions for teaching practice.

During either Western or the more traditional course you will receive an additional Reiki Master attunement. You will spend time in meditation with the Reiki symbol(s) and in healing visualisations. You will then learn how to teach and share attunements at levels 1, 2 and 3/Master level, with plenty of practical focus to ensure you feel confident in your skills. In order to complete your teaching certificate, I welcome you to support and help teach a level 1 or 2 course alongside me, including offering attunements to students, to ensure you feel supported, practised and ready to teach others confidently. This is of course entirely your choice.

Within the day, we will spend time discussing personal teaching styles, course structure, manuals and talk through any queries you may have. Once you have completed this course, the teaching manuals (appropriate to the style of Reiki you have chosen) will be shared with you for your onward journey in teaching Reiki to others.

COURSE PRICE for Master Teacher Course only: £300. COURSE PRICE for combined Master Healer and Teacher: £495. Runs as 1 whole day (usually 9:00am to 4:00pm). Arranged on request for individuals.

Several times a year, I invite those who have done their Reiki training (any level, any teacher) to meet, share treatments, discuss Reiki, healing, meditation, and practice self and spiritual development practices and other related issues. This is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge and understanding, build connections with like-minded others, build your connection and confidence with Reiki, or remind yourself of how to practice.

Here at The Peaceful Soul, I am committed to a high level of teaching and ongoing support for students so that they feel confident with their new and growing skills and energies. Students may contact me at any time after their Reiki training to ask questions and discuss any issues that may arise, including those relating to working professionally.

The Shamanic Reiki tutorials and Shamanic Reiki certificate are recommended for those who have a Reiki Master qualification(s), or those who have considerable experience at Reiki Level 2 and who feel a strong pull to combine their Reiki practice with the healing forces of nature, the natural world, the vast cosmos and nature spirits and spirits from other realms.

Within the Shamanic Reiki tutorials, you will learn the basic principles of shamanism and the commonalities and differences between shamanic healing and Reiki. You will explore the 4 directions, the 4 elements and the basics of the medicine wheel. You will learn how the energies of these can be infused into your Reiki practice. You will learn how to practice shamanic journeying and connect with animal and other worldly spirit guides and totems and use them for your own personal healing and spiritual development. And you will also begin to explore journeying on behalf of others whilst you give Reiki (face to face or remotely).

You will learn about body energetics, cycles and circuits of energy. You will learn how to work with these cycles and circuits and how to use shamanic tools and techniques to improve the courses of energy flow as you are shown, and/or intuit during sessions, to be most helpful to the person you are working with.

You will explore crystals, natural stones, plants and nature objects and their potential to aid healing practice. You will experience and practice healing through shamanic sound vibration, deep intuition, oneness, nothingness and expansive potential. You will connect with and/or deepen your relationships with spirit guides and explore their energies and means of communication with you and their ability to shapeshift to suit the healing needs of you or your receivers. And as a result, your knowledge and understanding of yourself, the universe and its energies, your intuition and your ability to walk alongside spirit on the path of life for the greater good, will expand exponentially.

Welcome to this magical and expansive world of Shamanic Reiki!

TUTORIAL PRICE: £30 per session. COURSE PRICE for the complete course of 10 sessions: £275. These run as evening classes, usually 6:30 to 9:00pm. Prices are based on a minimum of 3 participants. (£65 per session for individual tuition, £600 for the course.) Alternative times or online tuition via Zoom for many aspects can be discussed on request.

If you would like to practice Shamanic Reiki professionally, as a specific treatment, you are welcome to complete the full set of Shamanic Reiki Tutorials and receive the 2 key attunements and their teachings. On completing these, along with your own development and practice, journaling and documentation for your personal, spiritual and professional development, you will obtain a Shamanic Reiki Certificate.

Once the tutorials are completed, you will be invited to attend an additional intensive day course (or two extended half days), to receive the 2 separate Shamanic Reiki attunements, their meanings, teachings and uses for your practice.

The 2 key symbols for the attunements were received during healing meditations and visions I experienced personally. They were led both by Reiki practice and my Reiki and shamanic healing guides, and the meaning of the first symbol took some months of personal and spiritual exploration, and extensive reading, discussion and synchronicities, to establish. The second symbol came as part of a revelation, inspired by a book I read that had a profound impact on the way I approached my healing, my relationships and attitudes towards problem solving. It also evolved during the writing of a meditation course I was working on at a similar time. The messages within the symbols and the attunements, alongside the tutorials, provide a powerful basis to enable me to offer this certificate in Shamanic Reiki.
