This wonderful course introduces you to the history, theory, principles and practice of Usui Reiki healing. You will learn to connect with and begin to feel, or gain a sense of, Reiki (Spiritual energy/Universal Life Force Energy) through breathing techniques, visualisations, and meditations. You will also begin developing your manual sensitivity to the energy and Reiki healing practice for yourself and others.
You will receive your first attunement (Reiju) to Reiki which opens you up to this beautiful healing energy. This can be relaxing & gentle or incredibly deep, powerful & emotional. For many, it is quite a profound experience. You will then learn about the energies in and around the human body, and how these may be influenced by mental, emotional and spiritual experiences. You will begin to explore these energies through body scanning and Reiki healing practice.
Within the course, you will complete a full self-healing practice and share Reiki healing with fellow students. You will get an overview of using Reiki with plants and animals.
At level 1, Reiki can be practised for yourself and with family and friends, but please note that THIS IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION allowing you to practice as a therapist. If you wish to gain a professional qualification, you will need to complete levels 1 and 2, including completion of some case studies. A certificate and manual is provided on the day.
